Now whether you are in the market for contemporary kitchen cabinets or you are trying to find a more commercial kitchen design an ideal place to begin your search is at the IKEA website. Now I must confess that I freaked out a little bit when I whipped out my search engine and did a quick search for IKEA kitchen cabinets. I wasn’t surprised to discover that IKEA got great reviews from consumer report groups and were well spoken of on blogs. That I already knew. What really dropped my pink socks was when I discovered that IKEA had a fan page with 236, 434 members and that this fan page was not in any way affiliated with IKEA.
So what has spawned this cult-like obsession? I think it has to do with th e fact that IKEA offers a great quality product at an affordable price. We have already discussed the fact that there are several online entities which you can visit to get an idea of what exists in the marketplace. A few sites that come readily to mind, as mentioned in a few of my other articles, are Kraftmaid and Cabinets To Go. Today’s conversation however, is focused on the IKEA brand.
Here are a couple of reasons why the fans are so crazy over IKEA:
- IKEA offers a wide range of products at various price points. This makes it more likely that you will find something to suit your budget and your style.IKEA products are component based. This makes it easy to buy several separate components and then by using your ingenuity to mix and match these pieces you may end up with a masterpiece – proving that the sum of the parts is indeed greater than the whole.
- IKEA products are great for the DIY as the component based pieces are like a jig-saw puzzle just waiting to be arranged in the correct manner. If you are at loss for a hobby, then this just might be the one for you.
- Finally, IKEA likes to tout the fact that they are socially and environmentally friendly, which simply means they smile at the trees before cutting them down. Of course you know I jest, right? Right!
Like I always say, it’s not about having cheap kitchens or discount kitchens. It’s not about being so frugal that you buy inferior products. It’s about being prudent, being diligent and doing the necessary leg work so that you can get the biggest bang for your buck. Ok, I said it and I hope you got the message.
